Notts Forest Memorial Cup Champions
Gerry Maley's GU10 Red (going U11) team recently won the Notts Forest Memorial Cup playing in the GU11 bracket, while going undefeated for the tournament. Great Job Ladies!
Irvine Summer Classic Champions
Thierry's Ladies took the Irvine Summer Classic in style. Playing with a limited number of players through the cup, they scored 17 goals in the 4 games while only allowing 2.
Lightning Boys U16 Red
Congratulations to BU16-Red for starting off the 2010 season with commanding performance at the
San Diego Rady Children’s Hospital Charity Cup.
In a complete team effort, the boys went undefeated throughout the tournament and only conceded 2 goals over 5 matches, ultimately knocking off the Poway Vaqueros in the final!

Lightning Girls U13 Red
The Carlsbad Lightning Girls U13 red team opened their the 2010 season with a stunning performance at the
Irvine Memorial Classic soccer tournament. Winning the cup against the So Cal Blues with a 5-0 win in the finals.

The Boys BU10 Red Team played hard in the sand over the weekend, to win all 5 games (versus Arsenal BU11 Red 12-5; FCM 99 11-1; Claremont United 10-5; Oceanside Breakers 7-5 and United FC 10-6), scoring 50 goals to take the Oceanside Beach Championship! Way to go Carlsbad Lightning!

Girls U16 Hit the Jackpot in Las Vegas!

The Girls U16 Red team has jumped right back into their winning ways after the high school season. Coached by Khaled Al-Shafie, they recently won the championship at the Las Vegas Premier Invitational Tournament. Playing teams from Oregon, Utah & Idaho they scored a total of 12 goals in 4 games and allowed zero. Great way to represent Carlsbad Lightning!
